scan0001I’ve been married to Bob for almost 45 years and have 3 children, Laura, Julie and Robbie. Laura and her husband Fernando are missionaries in Ecuador and have 7 children ranging in age from 21 to 1–Sara, Gabriela, Melissa, Katelynn, Matthew, Amanda and Vanessa. Julie and David (in USAF) have 6 kids, some biological and some adopted–Benjamin, Joshua, Hannah, James and Anastasia (both from Ukraine) and their newest little guy, Josiah. Robbie is our special guy. He is severely disabled with brain damage resulting from an extreme form of epilepsy. He functions at a 1 yr level and needs 24/7 nursing care. He cannot walk, talk, etc – but he sure can love! I am his primary caregiver and cherish every moment of it!  My family IS my life and my joy, but God has given me many other ministries through the years. I’ve been a missionary/pastor’s wife, women’s speaker and leader, taught preschool and worked with special ed kids in public and Christian schools, and taught children and teens in church programs. My ministry now is a quiet one as I stay home and care for Rob. I have written more than 40 books for young people over the last 14 years – 22 of them novels. It is my prayer that the Lord will use my work for His glory and to reach kids for Him.

  1. Hello Bob and Cindy,

Lost track of the two of you about 40 years ago after Hessville Baptist. I am currently living in Longmont, Colorado, just north of Boulder. My sister Jean found Cindy’s facebook page and the reference to this blog.

Where do you live? FYI my email address is mail@whoturnedoffthepower.com

  2. I don’t know if you still check this blog, but I have been using your 12 jewels from Revelation 21 several years when teaching New Testament to sixth graders. Thank you! I enjoyed reading your bio. Are any of your books sold online? I’m curious to take a look at them. Thank you!

    • Hi, Daphne! I was so pleased to see your comment last night! I am glad you were able to use the little bit I wrote about the twelve jewels of the foundation of New Jerusalem in your Sunday School class. It still sparks my imagination, and yet it is far beyond anything our imaginations could even begin to conceive!

You are right. It has been a while since I have done anything with my blog. I wrote it for five years, but eventually I was trying to juggle too many plates—caring for my mom who had cancer as well as my son Robbie who suddenly was doing so much better (which is a GOOD thing) but I could no longer sit quietly by his bed and write. I do miss it, though, and I am beginning to feel convicted that somehow I need to get back to it.

You asked about my books. Both my series for young people are on Amazon in both paperback and Kindle forms. You can search for “Cynthia Griffith Noble Heart series” (there are seven books in that series) or “Cynthia Griffith Kristi Cameron

    • Oops! I hit sent before I was quite finished. I meant to say that you can find the nine books in my Kristi Cameron series on Amazon by typing in “Cynthia Griffith Kristi Cameron series”. Thank you for asking about them—and for sharing about your Sunday School class! You made my day! 😀
